The computer science department at Simpson provides many students with hands-on activities. All computer science and computer information systems majors complete a research project or an internship before graduation. During a recent May term, seven computer science students created a computer-generated animated movie with Blender. Another student developed his own video game with Adobe Flash. Other students chose to take on internships at companies like Wells Fargo, Hy-Vee, Mid-American Energy, and IBM Corporation.
The results of our students' work speak for themselves. Check out the department web site, developed by our own Simpson computer science and information technology students.
Computer Science is the best paying non-engineering degree a student can get from a four year college.
